2019 Holmes County Winterfest

Our Annual Winterfest was held November 9th at The Love Center in Millersburg, Ohio.

Upon entering we were greeted by friendly faces who signed us in and gave us door prize tickets. The festive room glimmered with dining tables adorned with color and clever cowboy bottle centerpieces. All were encouraged to stand in front of the large cheery banner for photos. Of course, some of us enjoyed fun with the available props!

Ticket numbers were called throughout the evening for the door prizes ranging from gift certificates to tack to horse treats! All the guests won a prize! I won a beautiful holiday plaque handmade by our talented member, Tammy. My sister was given a gift certificate to a feed store which she later gave to me for Christmas!

At 5pm, dinner began with the savory aroma of our meal and prayer of thanks. Guests were called up by table to get in line for the feast. The meal had been cooking outside for several hours. Crazy Nate’s BBQ prepared Pulled Pork, Chicken Quarters, Baked Beans and Cheesy Potatoes. The Winterfest committee also brought tasty desserts to top off the delicious dinner!

Shortly after the meal, President Rickie made announcements and the Holmes County OHC Board Members presented officers with beautiful thank you gifts of handmade horse-hair pottery!

We enjoyed hearing the children laugh as they all played games and each was given a gift!

Adults each brought a wrapped gift. Ticket numbers were called for each person to come up and get a gift. After everyone received a gift, we each held up our gift so people could see the variety of clever and useful gifts that were given.

We all enjoyed socializing and sharing stories about our horses and trail riding adventures.

Many thanks to our fabulous Winterfest Committee! Awesome job!

The Winterfest Committee was praised and applauded for their fabulous work. As an officer, it was so nice for me to attend the event where I could just relax and enjoy time with my friends. The committee handled everything!

The evening ended with the club cleaning up, stacking chairs and cleaning tables.

What a wonderful event!
