Grant Money Recipients Announced for 2020!

The $750 Regional Grants were awarded to:

  • Champaign, Kiser Lake State Park (Central)
  • Erie, Edison Woods Preserve (NW)
  • Cuyahoga, Cleveland MetroPark (NE)
  • Belmont, Barkcamp State Park (SE)
  • Franklin, Rocky Fork MetroPark $450 (Central)
  • Auglaize, County Fairgrounds $300 (NW)

The $5000 Matching Grants was split as follows:

  • Harrison, Harrison State Forest $2,150
  • Preble, Hueston Woods State Park $1,100
  • Cuyahoga, Brecksville MetroPark $1,000
  • Delaware, Alum Creek State Park $750

OHC Annual Monetary Grant Programs are “designed to give assistance for equine-related projects that build relationships and enhance the community.” There is a $5000 Matching Grant distributed to one or more chapters and a $750 Regional Monetary Grant awarded to a county chapter within each of the five regions.
The money has been put to good use in the past, including the construction of new signage, trailer parking improvements, trail rehabilitation, establishment of high lines and much more for everyone to benefit.
