Volunteers provided more than $1.3 million in value at Ohio locations where bridle trails and camping are available to all equestrians.  Thank you to everyone who spends time working on trails, whether it be an hour, days, weeks or more, your efforts are appreciated.  You didn’t have to give up a day in the saddle for a day with equipment clearing trails, but you did it anyways.  Volunteering is the cornerstone of Ohio Horseman’s Council.

Don and Vicki Wagner, Morgan County Chapter OHC were the top volunteers at Appalachian Hills, formerly AEP McConnellsville, with more than 600 hours dedicated to rehabilitating the trails at this ODNR-Div of Wildlife location.  Currently, there are 16 miles open with another 20 to be opened in 2025.  The trail map is found here:  Appalachian Hills Wildlife Area (McConnelsville) – Ohio Horseman’s Council, Inc
