Description
Primitive camping with spring-fed tank for horse water and tank hauled in by the park for busy weekends. High lines for horses which were recently upgraded, decent pit toilets and a pavilion. Trails maintained by Columbiana OHC. Terrain easy to challenging with several creek crossings, hills, rocks. Creek crossings may be wide and/or deep. Horses that sometimes need shoes will need shoes. There is a town 5 miles away with TSC, Walmart. Columbiana OHC will be having Christmas in July this weekend and we are invited to participate. There will be no cost to us, a potluck on Saturday, raffles, a chinese auction, poker run or scavenger hunt. They will guide us on rides if needed/requested. There’s a website which monitors the flow rate of the creek (USGS) and even if it isn’t safe to cross, there are hours and hours to ride without crossing.
