Camping allowed in wide open gravel area and grass parking – not much shade. Please DO NOT PARK beside the water well, it is for the use of everyone. Tie lines, water trough, bring-your-own electric fence corrals-grazing allowed. Shelter house, port-o-lets, bulletin board, mounting block, some picnic tables, ground fires allowed. 16 miles of 30 miles of bridle trails open as of March 1, 2025. More to be open in summer of 2025. Multi-use – Bridle, hiking and fishing/hunting area. Reclaimed strip mine high walls, lakes, various species tree plantings, wildlife sightings of turkey, beaver, coyote, deer, raccoon, groundhogs, etc. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WATER YOUR HORSE IN A LAKE. They start off shallow and drop off abruptly 20-30 ft. deep with submerged trees. Use creek or roadside water only.
