Scenic trails at Dean State Forest lie within the Wayne National Forest in the SE portion of Ohio. The trails have steep, short hills to climb and Dean connects with the Paddle Creek/Lake Vesuvius trails. Parking for the trailhead is located off Dean Forest Rd, 373. It is a grassy opening on the side of the park road, but you can pull off to the side of any forest road to access the trails.
Day use only; camping in the area at Paddle Creek, within Wayne National Forest.
Trail rating: Moderate to Challenging
Moderate – Rolling to hilly terrain; short steeper slopes; water crossings; irregular trail surface; narrower trail widths
Challenging – Steeper hills; unimproved trail surfaces, deeper or wider water crossings; boggy areas.
