Observatory Park is dedicated to popularizing astronomy and has an observatory on site as well as observing platforms for use by amateur astronomers. The site also provides relatively flat hiking/bridle trails which have natural surface treadways and pass through hardwood forests and open meadows with some gentle slopes and shallow stream crossings.
These trails are supported and maintained by the Geauga County OHC.
