Five separate trails of 35 miles of trails weave through the hardwood forests on the south side of the Mohican River. The trails range from wide enough for 2-3 horses to single-track and all are on natural surfaces. Trail is shared with mountain bikes on short sections of the blue trail. There are many long climbs and shallow creek crossings. The Green/Orange trails connect to the Mohican Lodge. The day-use trailhead is a grassy field with tie rails. Restrooms nearby. Overnite group camping available by permit. These trails are supported and maintained by the Ashland, Wayne and Holmes County chapters of OHC.
Trail rating: Moderate – Rolling to hilly terrain; short steeper slopes; water crossings; irregular trail surface; narrower trail surface
Challenging – Steeper hills; unimproved trail surfaces, deeper or wider water crossings; boggy areas.
