Much of Perry State Forest is reclaimed strip mine resulting in very rugged, sometimes barren terrain. The 8 miles of bridle trail passes through mixed hardwood and pine forests past some open fields, small lakes and ponds providing some very scenic riding. The trails are primitive, single-track with natural-surface treadways. Some steep hills and shallow stream crossings. Trailer parking is along SR 48 on grassy areas next to the road. No amenities. Day-Use only.
