The Pleasant Hill Lake trails pass through hardwood forests, farm land and open fields surrounding Pleasant Hill lake. The trails connect to Malabar Farm State Park (8 miles to Malabar with additional 11 miles at Malabar). There is no connection to the Mohican orange trail at this time (8/4/2019). The 12.8 miles within the park are primitive with mostly natural surfaces and traverse some significant hills and creek crossings. The horse camp is on the north shore of the lake with campsites in open and shaded areas. Each site has a picnic table/fire ring with stock water and shaded high lines nearby. Restrooms and a shelter house on site.: These trails are supported and maintained by Ashland County OHC. Because of the popularity of this park, check on park websites to see if you need a reservation for camping, particularly on weekends and holidays.
