At over 8 miles, Sugarcreek has the longest and most challenging bridle trails of all the Five Rivers Metroparks. This 618 acre park of reforested farmland today offers a wide variety of terrains for riding including oak/maple/beech forests, tall grass prairies and riparian zones immediately adjacent to Sugarcreek itself. There are several loop trails so riders can choose whether to ride through forests, tall grass prairies, along Sugarcreek or a combination thereof. The trails are wide, natural-surface with moderate hills and one crossing of Sugarcreek. The horse trailer parking area is circular gravel drive with parking on the grass. Restrooms, tie rails, picnic tables, a mounting block and stock water nearby.
