At 28,000 acres in Vinton and Adams counties, Zaleski is Ohio’s second largest state forest. Six bridle trails loop through hardwood and coniferous forests on the hills and valleys in southern Ohio. They are primitive, single-track trails with dirt, grass or stone surfaces. There are some long or steep climbs and many water crossings. The horse camp has a gravel drive with grassy, shaded campsites. Tie rails, bring your own rope for high lines, picnic tables and restrooms. Campers must self register on site.
