Sebald Metro Park
Sebald Park contains the only public horse trails in Butler County. There are currently 6 trails totaling 10 miles designed for both beginning and seasoned riders. They range from flat open groomed surfaces to forested hills and ravines with natural surfaces and water crossings along scenic Elk Creek. There are no amenities in the paved trailhead parking areas but restrooms, picnic tables and shelters are nearby. These trails are supported and maintained by the Butler County OHC.
Trail rating: easy to moderate
Easy – Level or gently sloping terrain, consistent groomed surface; wide trail surface; shallow or no water crossings.
Moderate – Rolling to hilly terrain; short steeper slopes; water crossings; irregular trail surface; narrower trail widths.
