Description
Since the Miami County Fair starts next week on August 14, I decided to move our meeting back a week to August 20th. I checked with the Miami County Parks District to see if we could hold a meeting at Lost Creek on August 20th with Covid going on. They said no problem but not in the cabin. They said that we could have it between the bank barns under the lean to by State Route 41. There are picnic tables we can sit at under the lean to. I also asked for a speaker to come and talk to us about what Miami County Parks District have to offer to us. They said that Scott Meyers was available.
I have several announcements:
- Our club has purchased a belt buckle for the Trail Class at the Miami County Fair this year. We had the Belt buckle in Sponsorship in Memory of Mick Retman.
- August 9th is our State meeting and Susan Basye was the point of contact to hear what is going on with the state OHC.
- Our trail cleanup at Honey Creek has been cancelled on August 15, 2020. According to Shelly Lane, Kyle Park trails and Honey Creek trails are mowed and well cleared of the nettles. Good news!!
Sorry but we still can’t have any food shared at the meeting. If you want, please go ahead and bring your own beverage or snack. I don’t think we will need chairs, but you might want to bring one just in case.
